Bears president Kevin Warren and Poles met with the media Monday morning and Warren confirmed Poles will remain as the team’s GM.

“Ryan Poles is the general manager of the Chicago Bears and he will remain the general manager of the Chicago Bears,” Warren said. “Ryan is young, he’s talented, he’s bright, he’s hard-working.

“He’s done everything in his power on a daily basis to bring a winner to Chicago. I’m confident in Ryan. My faith remains strong in Ryan. As leader of our football operations department and as our general manager, Ryan will serve as the point person in the upcoming search for our permanent football coach.”

Poles thanked Warren and Bears chairman George McCaskey for their “support and alignment.”

The Bears promoted offensive coordinator Thomas Brown to the interim head coaching position for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.

“I’m excited for him,” Poles said of Brown. “We love his direct leadership, his command and his confidence. I believe he has the traits to lead not only our team but our offense.”
