Bears injury report: Braxton Jones, Jaquan Brisker among those ruled out vs. Cardinals
LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Bears offensive line depth was as good as it had been in some time. That’s what GM Ryan Poles said before this season started.
He wasn’t wrong. The position group had experience and versatility beyond the starting group, even with longer-term injuries to some key players.
That depth is being tested now, in a big way.

Left tackle Braxton Jones was ruled out against the Cardinals, the team announced on Friday afternoon. So is his backup, Kiran Amegadjie. That will likely necessitate an activation from injured reserve. Larry Borom is ready to come back if called upon, offensive line coach Chris Morgan said. That would prevent the Bears having to make several moves to account for Jones’ absence.
There’s some uncertainty at left guard as well, with Teven Jenkins considered questionable with a knee injury, but head coach Matt Eberflus said he looked good in Friday’s practice.
Safety Jaquan Brisker was ruled out as well, as he is still dealing with symptoms of his concussion. Eberflus said that Kyler Gordon got some work in and is considered questionable with a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 6.
