Bears RB D’Andre Swift will be active vs. Vikings
MINNEAPOLIS — Bears running back D’Andre Swift will be available for Monday night’s game, a huge bonus for a Bears offense that must be at its best to compete with the host Minnesota Vikings.
Swift expressed confidence that he would play during a Saturday meeting with reporters, despite his designation and a second straight time he missed most of the practice week. Sure enough, he was available.

That’s particularly key with No. 2 running back Roschon Johnson missing his second straight game with a concussion. Travis Homer saw an uptick in offensive activity under this scenario, something it’s fair to anticipate here. Swift has 742 rushing yards and five touchdowns this season, his first in Chicago.
The Bears ruled Johnson, defensive tackle Gervon Dexter, interior offensive lineman Ryan Bates on their original injury report, and added Braxton Jones to the list of the unavailable on Sunday after he self-reported concussion-like symptoms.
Replacing Jones is no easy task, but ‘s anticipated that rookie third-round pick Kiran Amegadjie will get the start at left tackle. He has missed much of the season’s second half with a calf injury. Larry Borom and Jake Curhan will be available in reserve if Amegadjie is in fact the starter.
