Ben Johnson tabbed as betting favorite for 2025 NFL Coach of the Year
With the NFL season officially at an end, the offseason begins for all 32 teams. For the Bears, that means getting their roster built around their new head coach.
As Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk noted, Bears coach Ben Johnson and Patriots coach Mike Vrabel are co-favorites to win Coach of the Year for 2025.
Both Johnson and Vrabel are the favorites with +750 odds according to Draft Kings.
Johnson and Vrabel are followed by Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh and new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll at +1200. Jaguars head coach Liam Coen, the Panthers’ Dave Canales and the Broncos’ Sean Payton are all set at +1400 odds.
For the odds of NFC North coaches, Johnson’s former head coach Dan Campbell is favored at +2000 for Coach of the Year, while Matt Lafluer of the Packers is +2500 and current NFL Coach of the Year Kevin O’Connell is at +4000 to repeat for the same award in 2025.

Saints head coach Kellen Moore has +2800 odds while Super Bowl LIX head coaches Andy Reid and Nick Siriani round out the odds with +8000.
There’s reason to be optimistic for Bears fans with the hiring of Johnson and these odds reflect that. Johnson has a lot of talent to work with, especially with second-year signal-caller Caleb Williams as well as receivers DJ Moore, Rome Odunze and a talented defense.
The Bears have 8 draft picks in the upcoming NFL Draft including, the 10th overall pick in the first round as well as over $60-plus million in cap space.
This is a pivotal offseason for Bears GM Ryan Poles and Johnson as they hope to turn the franchise and culture around ahead of the 2025 season.
