Matt Eberflus provides positive update on Douglas Coleman III
Bears head coach Matt Eberflus provided some good news regarding a scary scene on Thursday night, where defensive back Douglas Coleman III was put on a back board and removed from an exhibition between the Bears and host Chiefs by emergency medical professionals.
Eberflus said in an interview with 670 The Score (WSCR) in Chicago that Coleman was related from a hospital in the Kansas City ares this morning and was on a flight back to Chicago.
That’s a positive for an individual who got hurt in the third quarter of the preseason finale, an incident that resulted in both teams huddled around him hoping for the best.
Eberflus said during a Thursday night press conference that Coleman was moving his limbs and gave his teammates a thumbs up before being carted off the field.
