The Chicago Bears announced the signing of 10 undrafted free agent signings on Thursday, ahead of this weekend’s rookie minicamp.

LSU safety Major Burns, Cal defensive end Xavier Carlton, North Carolina linebacker Power Echols, Iowa long snapper Luke Elkin, Texas State running back Deion Hankins, Oregon safety Tysheem Johnson, Michigan State kicker Jonathan Kim, TCU wide receiver John Richardson, Kansas defensive end Jereme Robinson, and Texas A&M wide receiver Jahdae Walker all signed with the team and will join the Bears draft selections at the Bears rookie minicamp.

Five of those signings were made on the defensive side of the ball, led by former New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen in his first season as the coordinator for Chicago.

Richardson and Walker join a crowded wide receiver room and will be joined by the Bears second round selection Luther Burden III at the camp. Richardson recorded a career 733 yards on 57 receptions in 2024 for the Horned Frogs, and was a two-time All-Big 12 honorable mention, while Walker had 29 catches for 345 yards and earned the 2024 Aggie Heart award, the highest honor for a Texas A&M senior football player.

Hankins joins a position group in need of playmakers, and was a two-time all-Conference USA selection at UTEP before transferring to Texas State this season and registered 62 carries for 272 yards and 2 TDs.

Chicago also added a pair of specialists as well, Luke Elkin was a first-team All-American this past year as the long snapper for Iowa, while Jonathan Kim was added for the kicking game. The former Michigan State Spartan graduated as MSU’s all-time leader in field goal percentage at 82.1% (32 of 39) and nailed a 58 yarder against Iowa in 2023, one of seven kicks he made from beyond 50+ yards. Kim was a second team All-Big Ten selection in 2024.
