INDIANAPOLIS — Travis Homer was placed on injured reserve on Saturday due to a finger injury that required surgery. That left the Bears a running back down heading into Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. That still didn’t provide an opportunity to be active.
He was a healthy scratch for a second straight week, meaning we’ll see Roschon Johnson and Khalil Herbert as D’Andre Swift’s reserves.
Guard Nate Davis was questionable to play Sunday, but is active. His rep count remains uncertain. He didn’t play well in Week 2, and swingman Matt Pryor was heavily involved in practice due to Davis’ injury.

There aren’t many surprises on the inactives list, considering Bears had already ruled receiver Keenan Allen (heel), Zacch Pickens (groin) and fullback Khari Blasingame (hand/knee) ruled out. Homer (finger) was also moved to injured reserve and was not replaced on the 53-man roster.
