The Bears made the Ben Johnson hire official on Tuesday afternoon with a press release about the former Lions offensive coordinator becoming the Chicago franchise’s next head coach.

While Johnson and principal members of the Bears search committee will speak on Wednesday in Johnson’s introductory press conference, Their initial comments were delivered, however, in statement form.

Let’s take a look at what general manager Ryan Poles, president and CEO Kevin Warren and chairman George McCaskey said about the Johnson hire.
