Cubs announce minor league coaching staffs for 2025 season

On Tuesday, the Cubs announced the minor league coaching staffs for the 2025 season.
The majority of the Cubs’ minor league teams will have returning managers with the exception of Yovanny Cuevas. Cuevas is entering his first season as manager for the Class-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans, where he served as the hitting coach for the ACL Mesa Cubs and the Dominican Summer League Cubs.
[WATCH: Center field clinic with Pete Crow-Armstrong]For the Triple-A affiliate, Marty Pevey returns to the Iowa Cubs in his 13th season as manager. Pevey holds the franchise mark with 748 victories as he enters his 17th season with the organization. Rachel Folden returns in her 5th season as the hitting coach for Pevey’s staff in Iowa along with Rick Strickland.
Lance Rymel leads the Knoxville (Tennessee) Smokies in his second season as manager in Double-A. Last season, Rymel led the Smokies to the best record in the Southern League North Division, including a Division title in the second half of the minor league season.
[Cubs reportedly closing in on deal with veteran Justin Turner]For the South Bend Cubs, Nick Lovullo returns in his second season with the Single-A affiliate. Lovullo was the previous manager of the Arizona Complex League Mesa Cubs in 2023 as well as the Tennessee (Knoxville) Smokies bench coach in 2022. His dad, Torey, is the current manager for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
