Cubs game postponed Thursday, will play doubleheader Saturday

The Cubs are receiving an unexpected off day. 

Thursday night’s series opener against the Marlins was postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up on Saturday as a a split doubleheader at 1:20 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. 

Jameson Taillon will start Friday’s matinee against the Marlins, with the starters being pushed back one day. Javier Assad and Shota Imanaga are slated to pitch in Saturday’s doubleheader, but the order is to be determined. Kyle Hendricks is still scheduled for Sunday’s series finale. 

Taillon was activated Thursday afternoon amongst a pair of roster moves.
