Doug Glanville discusses family dynamics in sports on ‘Class is in Session’

On this month’s episode of Class is in Session presented by UI Health, premiering Tuesday, September 27 at 10:30 PM CT immediately following Cubs Postgame Live!, Doug Glanville discusses the family business of sports, analyzing how professional athletes motivate and drive their children into continuing the family’s professional sports legacy, and how all parents can properly raise the next generation of athletes.

Joining Glanville on this episode are former Cubs coach Will Venable and journalist, Teddy Greenstein. Venable, now the bench coach for the Boston Red Sox, grew up in a sports family as his father played 12 seasons in the majors and speaks to his experiences growing up so closely intertwined with the game. Greenstein is the author of Quarterback Dads, a book offering advice for parents raising kids making their way through the youth sports system.
