Former coach Matt Nagy believes Bears have ‘good things going their way’

With the Super Bowl just a few days away in New Orleans, players and coaches from the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles met with the media ahead of Sunday’s kickoff.
Former Bears coach Matt Nagy will be in his 3rd Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2024 as the Chiefs offensive coordinator, their offense ranks 17th in total yards, 14th in passing yards, 22nd in rushing and 15th in total points.
Nagy was hired as Bears head coach in 2018, where he led the team to 2 playoff appearances in 2018 and 2020. He finished his tenure in Chicago with a 34-31 record in the regular season and 0-2 in the playoffs.
When the former Bears coach spoke with NFL Network’s Adam Rank from New Orleans, Nagy expressed his belief that the Bears would have things turn in their favor with the Ben Johnson hiring and Caleb Williams heading into his second NFL season.
“Chicago’s moving on with Ben Johnson and they got a great quarterback there. They’ll have a lot of good things going their way,” Nagy said on The Sickest Chicago Bears Podcast from New Orleans.
As Johnson finalizes the rest of his coaching staff, he and the Bears look toward a new direction as they prepare for the 2025 season.
