Jack White, Bill Murray had great MLB Tokyo Series 2025 interaction
Famous fans came from far and wide to watch the Cubs take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2025 MLB Tokyo Series, and two of them were seated next to each other by chance.
Jack White, former The White Stripes front man, got to his seat at the Tokyo Dome only to find he was right next to legendary actor and known Cubs die-hard Bill Murray.
White, clad in a game-worn 1975 Cubs jersey gifted to him by his friend and another Cubs die-hard in Eddie Vedder, took to Instagram to share his unexpected run-in with Murray at the game.
“You walk to your seat and realize that Bill Murray is by the randomness of the universe sitting next to you to watch that game. You know that feeling right?”, the 12-time Grammy winner wrote in the caption.

White was born and raised in Detroit and is known for being a passionate baseball enthusiast. He even owns a baseball bat company, Warstic, which he leads with with former Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler.
Murray, perhaps one of the most famous of the Cubs contingent, is an Evanston, Ill. native and has attended Cubs games for several decades. He once appeared in a fan-favorite Saturday Night Live sketch with Anthony Rizzo, David Ross and Dexter Fowler after the Cubs’ 2016 World Series win.

The Cubs may have been down on their luck in Tokyo but at the very least, White seemed to be having a much better time than when he was pictured at Wrigley Field in 2014!
