2 weeks agoZoe Grossman

The Cubs are finally in Japan and you can watch all the exciting content now on the Marquee Sports Network app!

Joining the Cubs on the ground in Japan is our Marquee Sports Network broadcast crew of Jim Deshaies, Alex Cohen and Taylor McGregor, who all will be in the thick of the action with Scott Changnon capturing it all on camera.

Grab a behind-the-scenes look at Tuesday’s travel day on the Marquee Sports Network app as the Cubs boarded their 14-hour flight from Phoenix to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. What did Jameson Taillon say about Pete Crow-Armstrong just before hopping on the plane? Then, watch Craig Counsell and Shota Imanaga participate in a traditional Japanese ceremony as the Cubs celebrated their arrival in Japan.

The Marquee broadcast trio is also diving headfirst into Japanese culture – what is Alex’s verdict on the famous 7-Eleven egg sandwich? How does Taylor rate her ramen-eating skills? Catch it all on the app now, with much more to come.

The team will kick off the 2025 regular season with the special two-game MLB Tokyo Series at the iconic Tokyo Dome, taking on the reigning champion Los Angeles Dodgers on March 18 and 19. Both games will air on Marquee at 5:10 a.m. CT.

The Cubs finalized their roster for the series on Tuesday, which includes top prospect Matt Shaw and spring training standout Gage Workman.
