Taylor McGregor gives Cubs fans a taste of spring training at Sloan Park
Opening Day is fast approaching and the anticipation is ripe!
As a way to give those Cubs fans still bearing the Chicago winter a taste of baseball, Taylor McGregor provided a tour around Sloan Park in the Cubs’ game versus the Angels Thursday afternoon.
One of the best features of Wrigley Field and baseball in general? It’s the ballpark food! McGregor gave Cubs fans a look and taste of the latest and greatest food innovations to arrive at Sloan Park this spring training.
“Pretty dang good,” McGregor said after trying the classic bratwurst on a pretzel bun.
It was high praise from Marquee Sports Network’s newest pseudo-food critic. Chicagoans should also note that McGregor said she would have put ketchup on the bratwurst, but that is for another day.

McGregor also found herself amongst Cubs fans showing off the ballpark features and the fun camaraderie with the crowd that already appears to be in midseason form.
“I’m in right field and people are already chanting at each other, ‘Right field stinks!’ ‘Left field stinks!’ I mean you’re getting the full bleacher experience,” McGregor said.
Sloan Park is special in that way. Cubs fans pack the venue to bring regular season energy with them to a ballpark that feels more intimate – where you can watch your favorite pitcher warm up just a few feet below you, enjoy ballpark food and watch the Cubs play winning baseball.
The anticipation for the 2025 season is high, and with the Cubs remaining undefeated in spring training so far, fans in Mesa, Ariz., can’t wait to see the spring success transfer to regular season success.
