What Matt Eberflus said in statement after Bears let him go
Matt Eberflus conducted his final press conference as Bears head coach on Friday morning, just a few hours before he got fired. That was surely a disappointing turn for the defensive-minded head coach, but one GM Ryan Poles and team president felt had to be made after a six-game losing streak during which he lost the locker room.
Thomas Brown was promoted to Bears interim HC in his stead.
