Michael Wilbon joined Cole Wright on Cubs 360 Daily, presented by Miller Lite to discuss the negotiations between the MLB owners and players as they determine if baseball will return in 2020.

Wilbon brought up how much joy baseball can bring, especially in times like these. It would give “a break” to Americans who are constantly listening to COVID-19 updates.

“Look back at 1994…it took 4 years to get it back. This situation is much more sensitive. People are much more emotional, looking to hang on to something. If baseball…abandons a rational, reasonable position, both sides are going to get blamed fairly so and who knows how long it will take to recover from that?”
