One day into Bears tenure, Caleb Williams already breaking records
The hype surrounding Caleb Williams could not get any higher.
In the immediate aftermath of the Bears making Williams the 1st overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, he set a new record in merchandise sales in any sport:
Chicago’s No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams broke the Fanatics record for draft night merchandise sales for any draft pick in any sport, beating the previous record set last week by Caitlin Clark.

Caleb and Caitlin are taking over the sports world.
Williams is one of the most hyped quarterback prospects of all time as the USC product was seen by just about every expert and analyst as the easy choice for No. 1 overall.
He will be the new face of the Bears, a franchise that has been searching for an elite quarterback for its entire history.
Williams joins Rome Odunze (the No. 9 overall pick) as an influx of top young talent joining forces in Chicago with the likes of DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, D’Andre Swift, Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett.
