Jayden Daniels will play vs. Bears; Khalil Herbert among Chicago inactives
LANDOVER, Md. — The uncertainty surrounding Jayden Daniels’ playing status has been resolved. The rookie quarterback will play on Sunday against the Bears.
Daniels was not among the Commanders inactives, meaning he’ll start and play despite a ribs injury that kept him out of most of a Week 7 win over Carolina. He didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but was a limited participant on Friday and is going to start in this one.

The Bears will be down a pair of starting defensive backs, with Jaquan Brisker and Kyler Gordon ruled out on the team’s injury report.
There were some notable healthy scratches, including running back Khalil Herbert and guard Nate Davis. It’s at least possible both guys could be moved before the NFL trade deadline. Defensive tackle Zacch Pickens is inactive even with him being healthy agains.
