The 2022 Chicago Cubs season gets underway this week as the Cubs host the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday at 1:20 PM CT on Marquee Sports Network. Check out all you need to know as Marquee Sports Network gets you ready for another season of Cubs baseball.

Opening Week Coverage
Extensive Opening Day coverage: Pregame coverage begins Thursday, April 7, at 11 AM CT with a two-hour edition of Cubs Live! presented by Toyota as Marquee takes fans inside the ballpark and around the neighborhood, previewing all the day’s action and showcasing everything that makes Opening Day in Wrigleyville special.
- Cole Wright, Cliff Floyd and Rick Sutcliffe will anchor the coverage from the Marquee studio, while Elise Menaker covers all the action in Wrigleyville, Taylor McGregor reports from inside the ballpark with news from the clubhouse, and Boog and JD preview the action from the broadcast booth. Plus, Sean Marshall and Lance Brozdowski join the program, and much more.
First Pitch at 1:20 PM: Game coverage begins at 1 PM CT on Thursday with Jon Sciambi and Jim Deshaies on the call. Sciambi returns for his 2nd season in the booth, while Deshaies begins his 10th season calling Cubs games. Boog and JD will be joined by Taylor McGregor serving as sideline reporter.
Day baseball all weekend: Cubs baseball continues all weekend with 1:20 PM starts Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Cubs Live! begins at noon each day with Cubs Postgame Live! airing immediately following the final out. For the game broadcasts, Boog, JD and Taylor will continue with the coverage Friday and Saturday, while legendary Cubs radio broadcaster Pat Hughes fills in for Boog as play-by-play broadcaster on Sunday.
Marquee Sports Network Notes
Former Cubs join the talent coverage: Last month, Marquee Sports Network announced that former Cubs Cliff Floyd and Cameron Maybin will be joining the team as studio analysts contributing to pregame and postgame coverage throughout the season. Floyd will make his debut as part of the Opening Week coverage beginning with Cubs Live! 2022 Season Preview on Wednesday. Maybin is expected to make his first appearance on the network in mid-April.
Extensive studio coverage all season: Tune in all season long for Cubs studio coverage before and after every Cubs game on Marquee Sports Network. Cubs Live! presented by Toyota begins one hour prior to the start of game coverage (12 PM for 1:20 PM starts, 6 PM for 7:05 PM starts, etc.), while Cubs Postgame Live! presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois kicks off immediately after the game’s conclusion.
