1 week agoStaff Report

The Chicago Stars continue to build their roster with the signing of forward Micayla Johnson to a 3-year contract set to expire in 2027.

“I’m super excited to kick off my professional career with the Chicago Stars!” Johnson said in a press release. “I am humbled and grateful to be a part of the club, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to grow, develop, and compete alongside talented teammates.”

The Michigan native made their first two appearances for the United States Under-17 Women’s Youth National Team in July of 2024, earning Johnson a spot on the United States roster for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. They made three starts in six appearances.

The Chicago Stars first game is set for March 14 against the Orlando Pride with their home opener on March 23 against the Houston Dash.
