If there is no minor league season, how would that impact baseball?
Mark Grace, Bruce Levine and Len Kasper joined host Cole Wright on Cubs 360 Daily, presented by Miller Lite to discuss whether the Minor League Baseball season could be canceled and how that affects the MLB.
If Minor League Baseball is indeed canceled, Grace believes it would be a travesty.
“I’ve played in the minor leagues and coached in the minor leagues at the lowest levels, and also at the Triple-AAA level,” Grace said. “The minor leagues are such an important part of baseball. The minor leagues are such an important part to people’s lives…..It would be such a big blow to America’s pasttime if we didn’t have some kind of a minor league season.”
Kasper doesn’t believe there is a scenario where there is a minor league season.
“Minor league teams in order to operate normally have to have fans paying money for tickets to be in the ballpark,” Kasper states.
