Recently, we asked our team of Marquee Sports Network analysts to construct an Ultimate Cubs Lineup of players from any point in the franchise’s history in an effort to win a single game.

We’ve been putting those lineups to the test in an effort to crown the best Cubs lineup.

We started with a pair of play-in games, where Matt Spiegel beat Ryan Sweeney and Sean Marshall took down Pete McMurray’s lineup.

The Round of 16 concluded Thursday, setting the stage for our Elite 8.

The second round of Ultimate Cubs Lineup Tournament action continues Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on Cubs 360 Daily.

The semifinals (Final Four) will be Wednesday, June 10, with the championship set for Thursday, June 11.

For each matchup, we simulated the game using Strat-O-Matic, the market leader in sports simulations.

DeRosa won 7-4.
