In the post, Vandersloot thanks Chicago fans and Sky ownership for the 12 years spent in the Windy City, including bringing a title in 2021.

“Although I never planned for this day to come, I have decided that it is time for me to pursue a new beginning,” Vandersloot posted. “As I look ahead to a new chapter, with a new team, in a new city, know that Chicago, its fans and the Sky organization will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Vandersloot led the Sky in 2022 with 6.5 assists a game while chipping in 11.8 points and 1.2 steals on average throughout the regular season. Throughout her career, she averaged 10.3 points, 6.7 assists and 1.3 steals.
