3 weeks agoKarli Bell

Chicago Sky point guard Courtney Williams was named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season and third time in her career. She’s the only Sky player to earn the honor this season.

In the Sky’s 3-0 week, Williams racked up a total of 53 points over the three games, including her second career triple-double against her former team in the Connecticut Sun

She finished with 23 points, a career-high 16 rebounds and 13 assists while also eclipsing 3,000 career points in the same game. Williams is the only player in WNBA history to record 20+ points, 15+ rebounds, 13+ assists and 2+ steals in a game.

Williams also racked up her sixth double-double of the season against the Minnesota Lynx with 13 points and 11 assists.

Williams and the Sky begin their playoff journey on Wednesday, Sept. 13 on the road against the Las Vegas Aces. Tip time for Game 1 is set for 9 p.m. CT on ESPN.
